Reactor Operator & Facility Technician

The Reactor Operator & Facility Technician will be responsible for performing equipment operations, including extruder-based technology, unit ops and laboratory equipment. Tasks include performing operation of chemical and processing equipment, as well as some facilities maintenance. Sub-skills in understanding computer hardware & software are a plus. The candidate will report to the Operations Manager.

Candidate Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in a shop and/or manufacturing setting
Mechanical aptitude and fabrication skills, with welding skills and electrical knowledge highly desirable
Basic Understanding of P&IDs, blueprints, diagrams
General knowledge of wiring and control systems
Basic understanding and application of algebra
Forklift operation and ability to train others
Ability to effectively use computer programs such as Email, Word Processing, and Spreadsheets
Lab technician experience is a plus
Required Skills:
Team player with the ability to thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced R&D and lab/shop environment, and take direction from engineers and scientists
Ability to participate in a multi-task environment (all company employees wear more than one hat)
Familiarity with mechanical function, fabrication

Ability to lift 75 lbs

Typical Duties:
Monitors unit processes and support systems equipment.
Makes control adjustments of unit process variables to meet target performance.
Conducts field measurements, observations and analyses required for monitoring.
Helps develop and follows Standard Operating Procedures for support systems equipment and unit processes.
Provides input and suggestion regarding experimental design of production runs.
Inspects, maintains, adjusts and places equipment in and out of service.
Adjusts unit processes equipment & facility systems necessary to meet performance goals.
Provides support to the engineering team.
Performs facility maintenance as needed.
Adheres to safety rules and regulations.
Preferred Candidate Requirements:
Associates degree or similar qualifications in any related technology, engineering, science or mathematics fields.
This position is open to candidates authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer. Please note that relocation expenses are not offered.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
