Specialty Vehicle Production Manager

Summit Bodyworks is a premier builder of mobile display, mobile medical, law enforcement, emergency response, command center and other specialty vehicles. We are growing and looking for someone to join our team to help direct and manage all specialty vehicle production with overall responsibilities for production, maintenance, quality, inventory control, shipping & receiving and all other production related activities.

Responsible for department schedule and planning to ensure department production and profitability goals are met.
Establish department metrics and ensure monitoring systems are in place to meet or exceed goals.
Monitor product quality and implement corrective actions in response to defects.
Provide input on vehicle design in order to enhance productivity and product quality.
Provide leadership, support and training to all personnel within the department.
Promote continuous improvement methodologies, Lean manufacturing concepts and always strive to be the best.
Requires frequent sitting, standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
Normal range of hearing and vision.
Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
Management experience in a Specialty Vehicle environment.
Experience with production.
Experience in the custom vehicle industry preferred.
Good grasp of Kanban and Lean Manufacturing concepts and methodologies is a plus.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and work under tight deadlines.
Strong analytical skills.
Able to lead by example with a great attitude.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to successfully pass a General Abilities Assessment and Post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
